Pocket Rockets North Yorkshire is a growing specialist cleaning company providing both commercial cleaning and specialist biohazard and trauma cleaning services across North Yorkshire.
We look after regular commercial cleaning contracts including pubs, offices and public facilities, but what makes this role a little different is our specialist work.
Our team is trained to deal with situations that require much more than everyday cleaning. This can include biohazard and trauma cleaning, welfare cleans, sewage contamination, emergency response and other sensitive or challenging situations.
It means that no two days are necessarily the same – and, to put it simply, this isn't a job for anyone who's squeamish!
This is a permanent, part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week. Due to the nature of our work, some flexibility will be required, as working hours may vary depending on our commercial contracts and planned specialist work.
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking person who takes pride in doing a job properly. You'll need to be happy working independently when required, while also being a great team player.
Just as importantly, some of the people we meet are going through extremely difficult circumstances. We're therefore looking for someone who can combine a practical, hands-on approach with professionalism, discretion and compassion.
What We're Looking For
Self-motivated and confident working independently
Reliable, flexible and dependable
Able to clean to a consistently high standard
Someone with excellent attention to detail
Professional, discreet and compassionate
A good communicator who is comfortable dealing with people from all walks of life
Able to use their own initiative and problem-solve when required
Positive, practical and willing to get stuck in
Comfortable working in environments that can sometimes be unpleasant or challenging
A full UK driving licence holder
Previous experience in cleaning, restoration, emergency response or a similar role would be an advantage, but it's not essential. We're more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude, as full training and support will be provided.
What We Offer
Permanent, part-time employment
Average approximately 20 hours per week
Excellent rates of pay
Holiday pay
Pension scheme
Full uniform provided
Specialist PPE and equipment provided

Varied and rewarding work
The opportunity to develop specialist skills

Could This Be You?
We're looking for someone who wants to become a genuine part of our team.
You'll need to be hardworking, trustworthy and dependable, but you'll also need empathy and the ability to treat every client and situation with dignity and respect.
If you're looking for something a little different from a standard cleaning job, enjoy variety and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves when things get challenging, we'd love to hear from you.
