Experienced Residential children's home Support worker (OFSTEAD)
Harmony First Care Home based in Nottingham.
The home is a specialist (Solo Placement) small children’s home providing niche services to children between the ages of 8-17 years who have E.B.D- Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, where we will meet the needs of Looked After Children aged 8+ who have experienced trauma and display varying levels of emotional dysregulation and/or self-harming behaviour.

Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events - Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills
- Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to appropriate personnel
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
- Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and procedures

- QCF Level 3 in Residential childcare or equivalent – Preferred
- Restraint training (PMVA / PRICE etc) Preferred
- Enhanced DBS (Required)
- Driving licence (Preferred)
