Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our team At caffe strada.This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant food service environment by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, eager to learn, and dedicated to delivering good quality. The ideal candidate will also be required to do front of house including barista and serving The caffe area.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients efficiently
- Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support the team in serving food promptly and courteously to customers or guests
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Help with dishwashing, waste management, and overall kitchen sanitation to uphold a hygienic environment
- Serving front of house
- Barista coffee machine
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service and barista environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and supervisors
- Restaurant experience or culinary training is a plus but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: £12.71-£12.75 per hour
