The Development Operations Officer is a key member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO), providing the operational and data management support that underpins the Hall’s fundraising, alumni engagement and stewardship activities.
The role is responsible for managing and maintaining the Development and Alumni Relations System (DARS), ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data through effective database administration, imports, exports and reporting. The postholder will also support a range of development projects, identify and research prospective donors, manage stewardship reporting for major donors and assist with gift processing and reporting to support the Regular Giving Manager.
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with excellent database and IT skills, experience of managing sensitive data and a good understanding of GDPR. You will be able to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of people and work both independently and collaboratively. Experience of prospect research within the higher education or charity sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive and collaborative team at one of Oxford’s oldest colleges, where you will play an important role in supporting the Hall’s ambitious fundraising and alumni engagement programme.
In addition to a rewarding role, we offer an excellent range of benefits, including:

- Membership of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), providing an excellent pension together with life assurance and sickness benefits.
- Subsidised bus pass loans, season ticket loans and Cycle to Work scheme.
- Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme, offering 24-hour telephone and online advice and counselling.
- University staff benefits, including discounts in University shops, free entry to Oxford colleges and libraries, discounted software, free access to the University Botanic Garden and Harcourt Arboretum, and discounted membership of the University’s sports facilities.
- Free annual flu vaccination.
We are a sociable and welcoming team, with regular staff events throughout the year, including quizzes, a summer barbecue and Christmas celebrations.
