Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventative dental care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall functionality of the clinic. Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleaning procedures, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
- Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Assist dentists during examinations and minor procedures as required.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate techniques and ensure patient safety during imaging procedures.
- Maintain sterilisation protocols for dental instruments and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas.
- Manage patient appointments efficiently, confirming schedules and rescheduling as necessary.
- Keep detailed and organised patient records in compliance with practice policies and regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist is essential
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry is desirable.
- A solid understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral anatomy, is essential to perform duties effectively.
- Certification or registration with relevant dental authorities must be maintained according to local regulations.
