About the role
We're looking for an enthusiastic team member to join us, working across design, manufacturing, and admin. This is a great opportunity for someone keen to build a varied skill set within the print and signage industry, working alongside an experienced team.
What you'll be doing
Design
- Graphic design for print production, including small format work (business cards, flyers, brochures, etc.) and wide format work (signage, vehicles, etc.)
- Formatting and checking files (correct file types, resolution, bleed, etc.)
Manufacturing
- Working with large format printers, laminators and plotters
- Working with embroidery machines and heat presses
- Manufacturing signage, vehicle graphics, clothing branding and more
- Fitting and installation of the above, on and off site
- Keeping track of stock
Admin
- Working with a CRM system alongside a physical paper system
- General office admin, including taking orders and filing
- Estimating and quoting
- Processing orders with trade suppliers
What we're looking for
- Knowledge of creative software (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator a priority; Signlab would be advantageous)
- An understanding of design principles (layout, colour, typography, etc.)
- Excellent literacy skills and spelling
- Strong communication skills, in person, over the phone and via email
- A keen eye for detail
- Keenness to learn the manufacturing process, following jobs from design through to completion
- A hands-on attitude and good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work well within a team to keep workflow running smoothly
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role, taking orders and advising on our product range
Please note: this role involves an element of lifting stock onto machines. Applicants must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Pay & hours
£13.00 an hour (approx. £27,040 a year) · Full-time · Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
