DegreeSix Recruitment is a specialist education agency working with schools across Northampton and surrounding areas. We’re currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a variety of temporary, day-to-day, and long-term roles in both mainstream and specialist school settings.
These roles are ideal for those looking to gain further experience in SEN education, work flexible hours, or take their next step toward a long-term or permanent position.
As an SEN TA through DegreeSix, you’ll be expected to:
- Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Assist class teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Provide 1:1 or small group support, tailored to individual student needs
- Help manage behaviour and encourage positive social interaction
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (in schools or similar settings)
- A patient, flexible, and resilient attitude
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)
