The successful candidate will assist with immigration casework, prepare documentation, and support the team in managing client files. The position is paid and suitable for candidates with strong organisational abilities and excellent communication skills. Must have at least one year experience in Immigration and Asylum law. Must have a good knowledge of the law. Must be able to speak Arabic or Hindi.
Duties
- Assist in preparing Immigration application and appeal bundles
- Organise and maintain client files, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Conduct research on immigration laws and procedures as required
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress
- Draft correspondence, reports, and legal documents using Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and deadlines related to immigration cases
- Attend meetings or legal visits
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- A second language such as Arabic or Hindi is required
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Good IT skills for research and document management purposes
- Effective time management to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail when preparing legal documents and maintaining records
