Ed Dibbles @ Kingfisher Café is a full-service catering and events café with a focus on freshly cooked food and high quality beverages. Based at Langford Lakes Nature Reserve - one of the most beautiful best kept secrets in Wiltshire, just 10 miles from Salisbury and 12 miles from Warminster. Due to our location you will need a car or live locally as public transport is very limited.
The café is a welcoming and inclusive environment where creativity is encouraged. We open 7 days each week, and hours will be 37.5 per week with every other weekend to be worked. The hours will be 9.00am until 5.00pm inclusive of a 1 x 30 or 2 x 15 minutes break(s). Easter, early and late spring plus August Bank holiday's are compulsory unless otherwise agreed.

We are looking for a friendly personality with excellent cooking skills, and a willingness to learn about our eclectic menu. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail and remaining calm under pressure is essential. You’ll need to be physically fit, and prior experience in a busy kitchen is essential. Knowledge of the latest food trends is an advantage. A Street Food background is a bonus, but we’re happy to mentor the right person. A minimum of food hygiene level 2 mandatory.
Your daily activities will include:
- Preparation of all foods on the menu
- Cooking both a full breakfasts and lunches with attention to presentation
- Creating new menu items and specials
- Responsible for presenting ideas for the seasonal changes to the menu, to the owners
- Creating full specification sheets for any specials or new menu items
- Working with Excel spread sheets to update recipes and costing
- Ordering all produce for the cafe
- Maintaining the daily diary, temperature logs, labelling of all foods
- Responsible for keeping all allergens up to date
- Keeping the kitchen workspaces and cooking equipment clean and tidy
- Maintaining our 5 hygiene rating
- Maintain a positive attitude and collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
