Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in providing compassionate care and support to 4 childrenwith EBD in a home in Dyserth.
Working a 2 on 4 off shift pattern with 8 -10 sleeps a months at £67.50
The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the emotional and developmental needs of young people. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development are prioritised.
- Assist with implementing individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs, fostering positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, confidence, and independence.
- Support children with daily routines such as meal times, personal hygiene, and educational activities.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and care provided in accordance with organisational policies.
- Foster effective communication with children, colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support strategies.
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation at all times.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures diligently to protect vulnerable children from harm or neglect.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a residential setting.
- Valid driving licence,.
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of child development principles and ability to adapt support accordingly.
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support children's emotional and developmental needs.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when required. Pay: £35,758.00-£37,407.00 per year
