Silver Bridge School is an independent special school for pupils aged 6 – 19, with two sites based near Taunton.
As our school continues to grow (with an additional site from September 2026) and flourish we are introducing new roles.
This is a full time post, take home pay for the post is £29,250 per annum.
Our creative, individualised approach to learning, is centred around well-being and skills for independence. From the time our students arrive, we assess their individual interests, passions and desires to build a project based curriculum to meet their needs. In so doing, we ensure they are well prepared to achieve their goals and succeed.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our school as an Admissions & Transitions Officer / Education Administrator. The post holder will play a key role in supporting student journeys by facilitating and administering key processes; including admissions, reviews, transitions and exams.
This post can be a hybrid post - some days can be regularly worked from home. There will be periods where the postholder will be required to work regularly at the school (for instance when exams & reviews take place and to attend regular meetings) therefore the postholder should live within a commutable distance and have some flexibility.
This post would suit an experienced administrator with experience of working in the education sector. An understanding of SEN needs and provision is essential to the post.
This is a very varied role, which requires a high level of versatility, excellent communications skills and a flexible approach. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent administration and organisational skills, the ability to work proactively to deadlines and demonstrate a consistently high standard of work.
The postholder will develop and maintain key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; a high degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence is required.
We understand the importance of building meaningful relationships with pupils and families to nurture growth and development of relational milestones such as, building trust and sharing enjoyment. Care and making connections are at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure that all staff feel cared for too.
We are strongly committed to providing high quality professional development for all our staff. As part of a new and growing group, we will be able to offer significant opportunities to work in collaboration with colleagues from across the group in order to develop innovative teaching practice.
The wellbeing of our staff is an important priority therefore we provide opportunities to ensure we value their hard work and dedication and promote a healthy work-life balance. We are constantly reviewing our practices to ensure that our staff can focus on what matters: providing a rich environment in which children and young adults can learn and thrive.
Spaghetti Bridge Ltd are committed to Safeguarding therefore, all employees working at this school must have the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people. All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding checks appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and employment references. We will request references from where you have worked with either children or adults at risk. Please be aware that references will be requested prior to interview for roles within our schools and that online searches will be completed on all shortlisted candidates, in line with the provisions of Keeping Children Safe in Education. This post involves contact with children and young people considered to be at risk and therefore post holders will be engaging in regulated activity.
