Overview
To coordinate and lead the worship group at All Age Eucharists. This is usually on Saturday evenings at 5pm (with rehearsal from 4pm). This is a flexible role and can be for a period of one academic year (renewable). it would also be possible to consider a job-share for the right people.
Duties:
You will be expected to:
· Provide ongoing support, encouragement and supervision for team members
· Be aware of and comply with all relevant safeguarding requirements
· Ensure the environment is safe for everyone involved
· Arrive early to pray and to prepare
· Liaise with the PA and visuals team about sung worship
· Provide induction for new team members
· Attend meetings for your support, guidance or supervision
This role requires someone who:
· Is familiar with a broad genre of relevant church music
· Has good communication skills
· Is a gifted musician
· Is a gifted singer
· Builds good relationships with tact and sensitivity
· Is an encourager, able to nurture skills in others
· Is approachable and empathetic
· Is willing to develop skills and to engage with training
· Treats everyone with respect and dignity
· Works well as part of a team
· Regularly attends church services
