Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of care assistants and support staff, ensuring they deliver compassionate, person-centered care to residents.
- Oversee the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to social care and health & safety.
- Foster effective communication within the team, residents, families, and external professionals to promote transparency and trust.
- Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance skills in senior care practices and IT systems used for documentation.
- Monitor daily operations within the care home, including medication administration, activity planning, and resident well-being checks.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for service enhancement and implementing best practices in social care management.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a care home or senior care environment.
- Strong understanding of care plans, health & safety regulations, and compliance requirements in social care settings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
- Demonstrated competence in using IT systems for documentation, record keeping, and communication purposes.
- Valid driving license preferred for facilitating transportation needs or home visits when required.
- Experience supervising staff involved in delivering person-centered care in a social or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
