Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in food preparation and service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive team atmosphere to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate staff to achieve targets.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Assist in training new team members in food production, service procedures, and health & safety protocols.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management to implement new menu items or service initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel environments.
- Supervising experience with a strong background in team management and leadership.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Previous experience in culinary roles such as chef, barista, or server is desirable but not essential.
