We are hiring a Qualified Domestic Solar PV Electrician to join our growing renewable energy team, delivering premium solar and battery storage installations across residential properties. Job Overview
- Position: Domestic Solar PV & Battery Storage Electrician
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, Subcontract and direct
- Salary: Price work
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no mandatory weekends)
- Benefits: Company van, fuel card for direct, and continuous MCS/BESS training.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission domestic solar PV systems, inverters, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Collaborate daily with an experienced roofing team to complete smooth residential retrofits.
- Carry out AC/DC wiring, isolator installation, and final grid connections safely.
- Perform testing, inspection, and system fault-finding, completing all necessary electrical certification.
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining system operations to homeowners clearly before signing off.
Requirements & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) alongside an AM2 certification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018).
- Accredited NVQ Solar PV Qualification and Battery Storage
- Proven experience installing solar PV or domestic battery storage systems.
- Valid ECS/JIB Gold Card is highly preferred.
