Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Waiters / Waitresses to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, providing a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff alike. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. All positions are paid, including internships, and are suitable for individuals passionate about hospitality and food service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a friendly atmosphere from the outset
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during food preparation and serving
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Clear tables efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the dining area
- Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions, with basic maths skills
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving procedures
- Basic math skills for handling payments and managing bills confidently
- Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle busy service periods
- Excellent guest service skills, demonstrating friendliness, patience, and professionalism at all times
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, providing additional insight into food preparation processes
- Upselling abilities to enhance guest satisfaction while increasing sales potential
