Summary
The role as a Technical Office Administrator is vital in supporting our engineering and fabrication teams. Located at our drawing office in Halifax, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects and ensure smooth administrative operations within our company.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate technical documentation and drawings to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Support project teams with administrative tasks related to steelwork design and fabrication.
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and other software tools.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to facilitate communication.
- Assist in scheduling and organizing project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all administrative processes.
- Assisting with ordering stationery,
- Prepare reports, printing filing and issuing of drawings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative procedures.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in administration preferable although training will be given.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of technical software is a plus.
- Previous experience in the construction or steelwork industry is preferred.
