Wakefield Trinity RLFC is looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking General Handyman to join our team and help maintain our stadium, facilities and wider club premises to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has a practical approach to problem-solving and is confident carrying out a variety of general maintenance tasks.
The Role
- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across the stadium and club facilities
- Basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and building maintenance
- Painting and touch-up work
- Repairing fixtures, fittings, furniture and equipment
- Carrying out routine checks and identifying maintenance issues
- Keeping external areas, facilities and communal spaces well maintained
- Assisting with matchday and event set-up, including moving equipment and furniture
- Supporting the wider operations team with general maintenance and ad-hoc tasks
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Have previous experience in a general maintenance, handyman or similar role
- Be confident using basic tools and equipment
- Have a good range of practical and DIY skills
- Be reliable, flexible and willing to get stuck in
- Have good attention to detail and take pride in their work
- Be able to work independently and use their initiative
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Be comfortable working in a busy stadium and events environment
Minimum 24 hours per week, with scope for additional hours and work as required, particularly around matchdays, events and busy periods.
