Purpose of the Role
The Site Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of construction, refurbishment, maintenance, Health & Safety, and the day-to-day operation of the site. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company procedures and UK legislation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects from start to completion.
- Plan and coordinate contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, quality, costs and programme.
- Ensure work is completed to the required specification and standards.
- Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Conduct site risk assessments and ensure suitable control measures are in place.
- Review and approve contractor RAMS.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain all Health & Safety records and statutory compliance documentation.
- Ensure the site remains safe, secure and operational at all times.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Liaise with local authorities, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and approve expenditure within authorised limits.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
- Ensure statutory inspections are completed and recorded.
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the site.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by management.
Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
