Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Gutter Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining gutters on commercial properties, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Safely access gutters on various types of buildings using appropriate equipment such as ladders or scaffolding.
- Clean gutters thoroughly, removing debris, leaves, and blockages to ensure proper water flow.
- Inspect gutters and downpipes for damage or faults, reporting issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including the safe handling and disposal of waste materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain work carried out and address any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities.
- Use driving skills to travel between different sites efficiently and safely.
Skills
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction and professionalism at all times.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients clearly and courteously.
- Physically fit with the ability to work at heights using ladders or scaffolding safely.

We are a growing company specialising in commercial gutter cleaning and maintenance across the UK, and we are looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join our team.
Job Description
The role involves travelling across the UK carrying out gutter cleaning and maintenance works at commercial sites.
Working hours are variable, and the role requires staying away from home Monday to Friday on a weekly basis. The company will provide hotel accommodation and a nightly subsistence allowance for all nights away.
You will work as part of a two-person team operating specialist equipment to complete gutter maintenance works safely and efficiently.
Hours & Salary
- Contracted hours: 40 hours per week
- Opportunity to work up to an additional 10 hours per week
- Salary £12.71 P.H additional hours over 40 hours paid at time and a half
Training & Development
Working at height or roofing experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
This includes:
- IPAF training (if not already held)
- Operation of MEWPs / Cherry Pickers
- Health & safety training
There are opportunities for progression, and most promotions within the company are filled internally.
Pay: £12.71-£17.71 per hour
