Hourly rate: £26.51 (unqualified)* or £27.68 (qualified)* inclusive of holiday pay

About the role
York College is seeking to appoint a Part Time Variable Hours GCSE English Language tutor to join the Foundation English team. The post would suit an appropriately qualified person with experience of delivering GCSE English Language.
You will be a dedicated and motivated professional with a passion for helping students progress. You will also contribute to the delivery strategies to improve the delivery and quality of English teaching and learning for our 16-19 cohort.
About the person
You will be qualified up to at least Level 3 in English and a relevant degree qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable. In addition, you must possess a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or display a willingness to work towards achieving this.
You will be an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teacher with experience of delivering English, preferably in a FE context. The ideal candidate will have taught GCSE English to a wide range of students. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.
