Job Summary
We are seeking 3 dedicated Laundry assistants to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all linen and laundry items, contributing to the overall guest experience. Previous hotel experience is desirable, but full training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a professional environment committed to high standards of service and cleanliness.09.30 to 02.00 plus.
Duties
- Collect, sort, and process laundry items in accordance with hotel procedures
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers and dryers
- Ensure all linen and textiles are cleaned, pressed, folded, and stored correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment at all times
- Monitor stock levels of laundry supplies and notify management when replenishment is required
- Assist with delivering clean linen to various departments within the hotel as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Support other housekeeping team members during busy periods or special events
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift laundry loads as necessary
