A number of welcoming and supportive schools in Harrow are looking to appoint enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams for September. Schools are looking to arrange trials in September for suitable candidates.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants as well as recent graduates with a degree in STEM or Psychology who are passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching or education.
The Role
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Helping students build confidence, engagement, and academic progress
- Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEN
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant OR a degree in STEM or Psychology
- Confident supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
- Passionate about working in education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Reliable and committed to supporting pupils' development
