We are looking to recruit a full‑time employee to join our team in a role that will initially focus on data entry and administrative support. For the first 6–8 weeks (expected- this may be shorter, or longer), the successful candidate will work as an Input/Data Clerk, becoming familiar with our material codes, internal systems, and data‑handling processes.
Following this introductory period, the role will transition into a Storeman/Warehouse Operative position, where the individual will support our stores operations, stock control, and general warehouse activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and looking to grow into a hands‑on operational role within the business.
Input/data clerk responsibilities:
Ø Accurately enter material codes, stock information, and related data into internal systems.
Ø Maintain up‑to‑date and correct records to support smooth stores and warehouse operations.
Ø Review and verify data for completeness and accuracy before submission.
Ø Identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies in the data.
Ø Work closely with the Stores/Operations team to ensure all information aligns with physical stock and system requirements.
Ø Follow established procedures for data handling, confidentiality, and documentation control.
Ø Support general administrative tasks as required during the training period.
Storeman/warehouse Operative responsibilities:
Ø Assisting with the checking in of stock.
Ø Receive, label and store incoming stock.
Ø Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
Ø Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
Ø Performing warehouse inventory controls.
Ø Stock counting and location checks.
Ø Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.
Ø Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
Ø Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
Ø Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
Ø Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
Ø Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules
Ø Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times.
Essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering and handling data.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Basic IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and data‑entry systems.
- Willingness to learn internal systems, material codes, and warehouse processes.
- Ability to follow procedures and work with a high degree of reliability.
- Physically able to undertake manual handling tasks associated with a warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider team.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to completing tasks correctly.
Working hours:
· Monday-Thursday: 8am-5pm
· Friday 8am-1pm (Early finish Friday)
