Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Van Driver and Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently whilst maintaining excellent customer service, alongside supporting warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe driving, accurate deliveries, and assisting with warehouse duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
Duties
- Safely operate a van for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation, inventory management, and order picking
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times
Qualifications
- Valid UK driver’s licence, with no points
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Good organisational skills with an organised approach to workload management
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
