Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Factory Operative / Driver to join our dynamic team. This role combines hands-on factory support with safe and efficient vehicle operation for deliveries and collections. Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely to deliver and collect materials, ensuring timely and accurate transportation.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting, within the warehouse or production area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and operational updates.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all tasks, including manual handling and driving responsibilities.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately and report any issues or delays promptly.
- Support factory operations by assisting with general duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver, preferably within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Health & Safety awareness
- Valid clean full driving license suitable for commercial driving; experience with driving a 3.5 tonne truck; experience with heavy lifting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including manual handling of materials.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
