Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks efficiently and accurately
- Assist with providing customers with drinks and baked goods
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, taking orders and handling transactions promptly
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and stocked with supplies throughout your shift
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Support team members with general duties such as cleaning, restocking, and setup or breakdown of service areas
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards to ensure safe handling of food and beverages
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work well within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist in various roles around the café
