Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Night Porter to join our team in. This vital role involves providing exceptional guest services during the overnight shift, ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our guests and premises. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanour, and experience within the hospitality industry. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele.
Duties
- Welcome and assist guests arriving during the night, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently while maintaining high standards of phone etiquette
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints with courtesy and professionalism
- Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to ensure safety and security
- Ensure the lobby and common areas are clean, organised, and welcoming throughout the shift
- Assist with emergency procedures if required, including fire safety protocols and evacuation procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages (bilingual or multilingual) are advantageous
- Strong phone etiquette and organisational skills to manage guest interactions effectively
- Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining vigilance and professionalism
- A friendly, approachable demeanour with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a rota basis; previous experience in hospitality is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to hotel operations is beneficial
