The Senior F&B Supervisor will oversee daily dining operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and efficient service. This role bridges the gap between the front of house team and management by leading shifts, training team members, and maintaining high culinary and service standards.
Reporting to the operations manager we are looking for a reliable professional Senior Supervisor will oversee our Marketplace Restaurant, Bar and Garden, event operations and who can expertly lead the team to consistently deliver the highest standards or service & exceeding guest expectations.
Position Details & Flexibility
· Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
· Working Schedule: 5 days of our 7 on a rota basis.
· Operational Flexibility: Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays including Christmas.
· Participate in the Duty Manager rota, which includes scheduled daytime shifts and occasional sleep-ins to maintain required overnight Fire Marshal presence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Development
· Supervise the F&B Team by leading, motivating and directing the team during daily service.
· Drive team development by conducting interviews and mentoring new hires through the onboarding process.
· Manage schedules by completing rotas to ensure shift coverage while balancing business needs and employee preferences.
· Support Green Culture by supporting sustainability initiatives whilst identifying areas of change
Operations & Service Excellence
· Oversee service to ensure smooth operations and maintain high-quality standards
· Provide excellent customer service to all customers, and resolve complaints with a professional, solution orientated approach.
· Ensure standards of practice are being met across all areas
· Maintain strict health, safety and hygiene regulations and ensure cleaning procedures are being maintained.
· Manage opening/closings, securing the venue, cashing up and completing shift logs.
Financial & Inventory Control
· Conduct weekly liquor stock counts, monitor stock levels, reduce wastage and order supplies.
· Drive revenue by upselling menu items and train staff on suggestive selling
· Oversee POS operations and daily financial reporting.
· Maintain and improve profit by monitoring wastage and breakages, whilst implementing remedial actions
Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive guest data, corporate accounts, and internal business metrics.
- Enforce legal compliance regarding Health & Safety policies, fire safety procedures, and brand image standards.
- Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development activities.
- Execute ad-hoc tasks requested by the General Manager or Operations Manager to support broader hotel operations.
Candidate Requirements
· Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a fast-paced F&B role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written skills in English
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams under high-pressure situations.
- Systems: Proficient with POS systems and MS Excel. Experience of online booking sites preferred (eg. Rezdiary, OpenTable)
- Flexibility: Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Personal Licence holder preferred, however not essential.
