Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine roofing specifications and materials needed.
- Install new roofs using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or membranes.
- Repair or replace damaged roofing components by removing old materials and applying new ones with precision.
- Use welding techniques where necessary to secure metal roofing components or flashing.
- Fabricate custom roofing parts on-site using specialized fabrication tools and techniques.
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient project progression.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate construction activities effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or related construction work.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems including shingles, metal roofing, membranes, and flashing.
- Construction experience with skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing or heavy lifting is highly desirable.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, and performing demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards at all times.
