Overview
We are seeking a skilled Panel Saw Operator / Sliding Wardrobe Door Maker to join our manufacturing team. This role involves precise fabrication and assembly of wardrobe doors, requiring an understanding of panel saw operation and materials handling. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality bespoke furniture. Responsibilities
- Operate panel saws and other woodworking machinery to accurately cut materials according to specifications
- Fabricate sliding wardrobe doors, ensuring measurements and quality standards are met
- Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, fitting, and finishing work
- Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment
- Set up and programme programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated cutting processes
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
- Experience in fabrication, woodworking, or manufacturing environments, preferably within furniture or wardrobe production
- Knowledge of hand tools effectively
- Warehouse experience including materials organisation and inventory management is beneficial
- Basic maths skills necessary for precise measurement calculations
- Prior exposure to assembly processes and tooling setup in a manufacturing setting is preferred
