About the role:
Cresconova Labs is seeking an enthusiastic contract educator to facilitate creative, technology rich sessions for young people aged 5-16 for Fall 2026. This is a hands- on, learner centred role where you would guide small groups through imaginative, project- based experiences-- ranging from robotics builds, to fashion, future cities and possibly storytelling which will include interactive design and digital fabrication.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for current educators with a focus in the following fields, including but not limited to:
- Political Science
- History
- Applied and conceptual mathematics using manipulatives
- Philosophy
- Environmental Science
- Humanities
- Creative writing
- Economics
You should:
- Be confident working with young people (ages 5-18), ideally with experience as a tutor, teaching assistant, camp leader, or similar.
- Have skills in at least two of the following areas:
- Design Thinking
- Systems Thinking
- Experiential Education
- Digital storytelling
- Creative writing
- Be collaborative, patient, and enthusiastic.
- Have a strong interest in creativity, experimentation, and inclusive education.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate small groups (2-12 learners) through project cycles: ideation, prototyping, testing, reflection, and exhibition
- Demonstrate tools and technologies, supporting learners to build confidence and independence
- Adapt sessions to learners’ interests rather than delivering fixed scripts, being able to respond to the nature of the session.
- Support learners in documenting their work in an iterative manner- photos, videos and presentations.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and well- managed studio environment.
- Work collaboratively with other educators to refine, review, and improve session.
Safeguarding and Compliance (UK)
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Completion of safeguarding training.
- Adherence to Cresconova’s safeguarding and risk assessment policies.
- Commitment to inclusive, anti-discriminatory practices.
