About the Role
We are recruiting passionate and resilient Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a well-established children’s residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
You will play a vital role in providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children can develop positive relationships, improve emotional wellbeing, and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with EBD
- Build consistent, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
- Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies, and life skills
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in line with behaviour support plans
- Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and external professionals
- Promote safeguarding, welfare, and emotional wellbeing at all times
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, policies, and procedures
About You
- Experience working with children or young people with EBD, trauma, or challenging behaviour (preferred)
- Calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends
- Commitment to safeguarding and providing high-quality care
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children in residential setting
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards it)
