Craigvrack Hotel is looking for a confident, hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to support the General Manager and help lead our small front-of-house team.
The role covers traditional Scottish breakfast service for hotel residents and evening service at CIDSIN, the Indian restaurant within Craigvrack Hotel.
No previous knowledge of Indian cuisine is required. We can teach you the menu. What we need is someone who can lead a team and deliver excellent service.
You will report directly to the General Manager and help ensure breakfast and dinner services run smoothly. This is a practical role, so you will supervise the team while also working alongside them on the floor.
Your responsibilities
- Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of breakfast and restaurant service
- Supervising, supporting and motivating a small front-of-house team
- Preparing the team and restaurant for service
- Allocating duties and maintaining clear communication during shifts
- Working on the floor and stepping in wherever support is needed
- Maintaining high standards of guest service, cleanliness and presentation
- Handling guest questions, feedback and concerns professionally
- Training and supporting new and existing team members
- Assisting with rotas, stock checks and daily operational tasks
- Supporting the fair and timely allocation and distribution of staff tips
- Following food safety, licensing, health and safety and company procedures
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment
- Experience supervising, leading or managing staff
- Strong communication and people-management skills
- A calm and organised approach during busy services
- Confidence when dealing with guests and resolving issues
- A practical, reliable and fair approach
- A willingness to lead from the floor, not from the sidelines
A degree is not required, and neither is previous experience with Indian cuisine.
