The Lettings Inspection Clerk is responsible for carrying out regular property inspections across our managed residential portfolio. The role ensures that properties are being maintained in good condition, tenants are complying with the terms of their tenancy agreements, and any maintenance, safety, or legal compliance issues are identified and reported promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of occupied residential properties in accordance with company procedures.
- Assess and record the general condition of properties, including cleanliness, maintenance standards, and any signs of damage or deterioration.
- Ensure tenants are adhering to the terms and conditions of their tenancy agreements.
- Identify and report any breaches of tenancy, including unauthorised occupants, pets, property misuse, or anti-social behaviour.
- Check for compliance with relevant housing legislation and health and safety requirements.
- Take photographs and prepare detailed inspection reports following each visit.
- Report maintenance issues, repairs, and health and safety concerns to the Property Management Team.
- Liaise professionally and courteously with tenants during inspections.
- Ensure all inspections are conducted in accordance with legal notice requirements and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and update property management systems following inspections.
- Escalate urgent issues requiring immediate attention to management.

- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
