Depot Manager – Exeter Depot
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hurn Recycling. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and reliable Depot Manager to join our expanding team in Exeter.
About the Role
This is a varied position. The job involves, managing the drivers on a day to day basis, being their point of contact whilst on their routes, routing, arranging services and repairs on the vehicles when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing staff and supporting day‑to‑day operations
- Ensuring routes are planned, dispatched, and completed efficiently
- Printing and preparing run sheets
- Liaising with our main Transport Office in Bournemouth to coordinate routing and resolve issues
- Covering drivers holidays and sickness when required so a full class 2 HGV licence is required for this job.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, candidates will have:
- Experience within the waste or recycling industry
- Strong knowledge of Exeter and the surrounding areas
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (preferred)
- A Class 2 HGV licence (essential)

Hurn Recycling is the largest independent waste company in Dorset & Devon, and with our new Exeter depot now open, we are looking for the right person with a Class 2 licence to support our continued expansion.

Pay: £37,000.00 per year
