Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to oversee entry points at various venues. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, managing access control, and ensuring the safety of all patrons and staff. This role requires excellent observational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to security standards. Duties
- Monitor and control access to premises, ensuring only authorised individuals enter
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue to maintain safety and security standards
- Utilise surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to observe activity and identify potential issues
- Implement loss prevention strategies by recognising suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or disorder
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
- Enforce venue policies and procedures in a professional manner
- Record incidents accurately in reports and communicate effectively with team members and management
- Assist with crowd management during events or busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
- 1 year minimum experience
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict resolution skills
- First aid certification is highly advantageous
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills, a good level of English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events
- Professional appearance and demeanour with a customer-focused attitude
