Chez Antoinette is a vibrant French restaurant located in the heart of Victoria, serving authentic French cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager to join our team and support the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
The Role
Working closely with the General Manager, you will help lead the team, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and ensure smooth restaurant operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, developing people, and driving high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in the daily operation of the restaurant.
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house team during service.
- Ensure outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with recruitment, training, and team development.
- Help manage labour costs, rotas, stock, and profitability.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and food hygiene.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally.
About You
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or Assistant General Manager in a busy restaurant.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passionate about hospitality and customer service.
- Organised, proactive, and able to perform under pressure.
- Commercially aware with a hands-on management style.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
