Borderland Fencing Manufacturers Limited are currently recruiting a wood machinist/operative for our workshop which centres around the manufacturing of garden gates, sheds, fence panels and general machining of timber for the fencing industry.
The ideal candidate will be working in a busy workshop, cutting timber to the required specifications, working from orders and using the relevant machinery.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that desired quality standards and quantities are met.
They should be familiar with operating a variety of woodworking machines but primarily cross-cut saws, spindle moulder, rip saw, band saw and mortiser & tenoner.
Some experience would be preferred, however training will be given on the job but we expect the chosen applicant to work quickly and of their own initiative.
Hours of work 8am-5pm-Monday-Fridays. May also be required to work overtime and weekends depending on work schedule.
Salary depending on experience.
