Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 or Level 3 Senior Care Assistant to join our care home team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with supervisory experience in senior care environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting residents' wellbeing, supervising care staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality personalised care. Please note, this position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must be committed to providing compassionate care and possess strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily care operations within the care home, ensuring residents receive respectful and personalised support
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, promoting best practices in senior care
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing individualised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards
- Support residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, medication management, and social engagement
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care delivery
- Lead by example in maintaining a warm, caring environment that promotes dignity and independence for all residents
- Utilise IT systems to update records accurately and efficiently
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and relevant health & safety legislation
- Competent IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Driving licence is desirable to facilitate resident outings or staff travel arrangements
- Compassionate approach combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and 2 x satisfactory references.
Pay: £12.80 per hour
