VEHICLE MECHANIC / TECHNICIAN – £35,000 – SWINDON
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic / Technician to join our workshop in Swindon.
The majority of the work will be preparing and maintaining our own used cars and vans, rather than working in a busy retail garage environment.
The role will include:
- Servicing and general mechanical repairs
- Brakes and suspension
- Cambelts and timing belt replacements
- Clutches and general repairs
- MOT preparation and repairs
- Basic diagnostics and fault finding
- Preparing vehicles to a good standard for sale
- Warranty and aftersales repairs where required
We’re looking for a good, experienced all-round mechanic who can work independently, identify faults and get jobs completed efficiently.
You don't need to be a master diagnostic technician, but you should be comfortable carrying out basic diagnostics and fault finding.
Salary: £35,000 per year
Monday to Friday
Full-time, permanent
No weekends.
A full UK driving licence is required.
This would suit someone looking to move away from the pressure of a busy retail workshop or main dealer environment into a more varied, independent role.
