Packing and Production Operative
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am–4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am–1:30pm

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Packing and Production Operative to join a successful precision engineering business.
This is an important role within the production department, ensuring finished components are packed, labelled and prepared in line with customer requirements.
Previous engineering experience is not essential. The company is looking for someone organised, practical and willing to learn who wants to develop a long-term career within manufacturing.
The Role
You will support the packing and production process, handling a variety of precision-engineered components and order quantities.
Some orders may contain thousands of individual components, making accuracy, organisation and attention to detail essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Packing finished precision-engineered components
- Deburring components when required
- Labelling and identifying finished products accurately
- Preparing pallets and consignments
- Ensuring components remain correctly identified and traceable
- Moving components between production areas
- Following established packing procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised packing area
- Helping to develop consistent and reliable packing processes
- Supporting the wider production team as required

- Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment

- Interest in a long-term manufacturing career
Previous experience within packing, production, manufacturing, warehousing, goods in, goods out or engineering would be advantageous but is not essential.
