Purpose:
Metrology Engineer is required to provide an exceptional measurement and reporting service including Calibration of measuring equipment, Conformance of Product inspections, ISIR and Capability studies for New Product Introduction and investigations.
About the Role:

Achieving personal Objectives as defined in Dayforce

Contributing towards departmental Objectives as defined in the Dayforce

Achieving KPI targets and taking corrective action to improve performance.

Programming and operation of equipment including Zeiss CMM, Faro Arm, 3D scanning equipment, Surface Measurement, Hardness Testing, Image measurement Direct measurement equipment such as DTI, vernier, micrometers, slip gauges etc.
-
Completing activities for Internal & external Calibration, Conformance of Product inspections, supporting NPI and investigations, Completing MSA studies.

Leading and participating in Problem Solving activities.

Use of Unipart Way to develop SOP’s, maintain 5S standards and providing training to share knowledge.

Supporting responsibilities to include external and internal containment of quality concerns, Tensile Testing, cutting, sectioning, mounting, polishing and analysis, cleanliness testing, endoscope/boroscope analysis, X-ray fluorescence testing.

Engineering background

Working knowledge of SPC and MSA
-
Strong ability to read and analyse drawings
-
GDT/Drawing tolerances
-
Able to write efficient and effective measurement programmes for the Faro Arm, Zeiss CMM, Taylor Hobson Surface measurement, Keyence image measurement.

Full UK driving licence
