TIG Welder Fabricator (Nights)

Shift: Night Shift – Monday to Thursday 16:30 – 02:30
Pay Rate: £17.69 - £23.42 per hour
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder Fabricator to join a leading manufacturing business based in Alcester on a permanent night shift.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and TIG welding high-quality stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel components from engineering drawings. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce precision work to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG welding a variety of sheet metal and fabricated components.
- Fabricating products from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Working with stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel materials.
- Measuring, marking out and assembling components prior to welding.
- Using fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Carrying out grinding, dressing and finishing operations where required.
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a TIG Welder Fabricator within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to fabricate from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
- Experience welding stainless steel is essential.
- Experience with aluminium and mild steel would be advantageous.
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Ability to use measuring equipment and fabrication tools confidently.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Reliable, self-motivated and capable of working independently.
