FM Works Ltd is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Operative to join our dynamic team. This hands-on role involves a variety of tasks, including driving a company van, cleaning commercial and vacant properties, managing waste removal, window cleaning, and general gardening duties. A proactive attitude, adaptability, and a strong work ethic are essential, as the role may evolve to include additional responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
Driving
- Transport cleaning and gardening equipment, materials, and waste using a company van.
- Load and secure equipment safely for transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and conduct regular checks on the company vehicle.
- Comply with all traffic and safety regulations.
Gardening Duties
- Mow lawns, trim hedges, maintain pathways, patios, and car parks.
- Weed, clear overgrowth, and perform garden renovation tasks such as turfing.
Commercial Area Cleaning
- Perform scheduled cleaning of commercial spaces to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Ensure communal areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming.
Void Property Cleans
- Conduct deep cleans of vacant properties following tenancy ends.
- Clean floors, walls, fixtures, and appliances thoroughly.
Waste Removal
- Remove leftover items from properties and transport to appropriate waste facilities.
- Manage waste responsibly with environmentally friendly practices.
Window Cleaning
- Clean windows using a water-fed pole system.
Customer Service
- Communicate courteously and professionally with clients.
- Ensure a positive customer experience and uphold company standards.
General Support & Flexibility
- Perform other related tasks as required to support team operations.
Person Specification
Driving
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years) with a clean driving record.
Experience
- Previous experience in cleaning, gardening, or maintenance preferred, but full training will be provided.
Physical Fitness
- Comfortable with manual labour and physically demanding tasks.
Teamwork
- Cooperative, dependable, and communicates well within a team.
DBS Check
This role is subject to a DBS check.
Pay: £13.30 per hour
