An exciting career opportunity has opened within a busy Independent family run award winning vehicle service and mot station that has been focused on delivering a 5* customer experience over its 22 years of operation. We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of service advisor.
Key responsibilities
Working within a small team of Service Advisors and Vehicle technicians the roles key responsibilities will be:
- Assisting with the day to day running of the workshop office
- Booking in vehicles and allocating work for the technicians, controlling workshop loading & allocation of jobs to technicians, and ensuring jobs are completed within deadline periods
- Liaising with customers, advising and selling repairs to customers as and where required using a suite of tools
- Liaising with suppliers on pricing and availability of parts for production of estimates for customers, ordering parts where required
- Experience of a customer facing service role (face to face) is required.
- The ideal candidate will have Automotive service advisor experience or may have technical experience such as a technician, technical adviser or workshop controller
The candidate will be in a customer facing role, the key qualities will be;

Excellent customer relationship skills and interpersonal skills to maintain our excellent customer service rating and customer retention
Professional and courteous telephone manner with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and suppliers, importantly being able to listen to customer requirements and build rapport with relationship customers
A high degree of computer literacy is essential, experience with Microsoft office and outlook, with the ability to record data accurately and efficiently with a keen eye for detail. Additional systems used are TechMan (garage management system for diary, job sheets and invoicing), Citnow, Parts Link24, and Omni part. Training will be provided on the aforementioned systems.
Ability to manage their own and job times effectively

Previous motor trade experience is preferred for this role, applications from other customer service, parts advisor or ex technician roles will be considered. A confident approach to face to face customer interactions, and a desire to deliver excellent customer service is paramount for this role. Training on the specific systems we use will be provided by online courses and from existing experienced team members. There are additional training and development opportunities and programs available.
The hours of work are between 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-4pm Friday with NO weekends with a 30 minute lunch break. 42 hr week.
