Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Kitchen Sprayer to join our team. This role involves applying paint and specialised coatings to various surfaces, with a focus on kitchen environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organised work area. Prior experience in construction painting and spraying techniques is preferred, along with good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, varnish, or specialised coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure even coverage and finish quality in accordance with project specifications
- Work on kitchen areas, ensuring all surfaces are properly coated and protected from overspray
- Maintain safety standards by wearing appropriate protective gear and following health and safety protocols
- Clean and maintain spray equipment and tools after use
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress or issues
- Follow instructions accurately to meet deadlines and quality expectations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades
- Knowledge of spray painting techniques specific to kitchens or similar environments
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation between sites
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
- Organised approach to work with attention to detail
- Good physical condition with the ability to work standing for extended periods and handle lifting tasks as required
