Gas Engineer / Plumber – Subcontractor
Tootells Heating Limited is a growing plumbing, heating and gas company based in North London. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Gas Engineer / Plumber to join our team on a subcontractor basis.
We have a growing workload across North & East London, Hertfordshire and Essex, and are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works to a high standard and is confident working independently in customers’ homes.
This is a varied role covering boiler installations, bathroom installations, general plumbing, heating and gas maintenance.
The Role
You will be carrying out a variety of domestic plumbing, heating and gas works, including:
- Boiler installations, replacements and system upgrades
- Combination and system boiler installations
- Boiler servicing and general heating repairs
- Bathroom installations and refurbishments
- General plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Heating system maintenance and remedial works
- Installation and replacement of radiators, valves, pumps and associated components
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
- Working with customers professionally and maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Completing jobs to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and manufacturer instructions
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced engineer who can work confidently and independently.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within plumbing, heating and gas
- Gas Safe registered
- Experience with domestic boiler installations
- Good knowledge of plumbing and heating systems
- Experience carrying out bathroom and general plumbing works
- Own van and tools
- Own Public Liability Insurance
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and punctual
- High standard of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently
