Hours: Friday 18:15 – 23:15 and 1 in 4 Sundays 13:15 – 18:15
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our Reception Team at Winchester Urgent Care Clinic.
As a key member of the team, you will help provide an efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors and clinical colleagues. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the smooth running of the clinic.
Working closely with the Reception Supervisor and Service Delivery Manager, you will help ensure patients receive a seamless service, while completing a range of reception and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring the electronic booking system and highlighting workload concerns
- Booking patients in on arrival
- Following up patients who did not attend appointments
- Managing expectations of patients in the waiting area
- Answering telephone enquiries promptly, helpfully and courteously while maintaining confidentiality
- Supporting reception processes and ensuring records are maintained accurately
- Supporting the management team with public relations
- Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and safe
- Logging and managing medical equipment and drug boxes appropriately
- Accurately logging prescriptions in and out
- Maintaining stationery supplies
- Keeping mandatory training up to date
About You
You will have:
- The ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy when supporting patients and clinical staff from a range of backgrounds
- A good standard of literacy
- The ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Previous experience in Reception, Customer Service or Administration (highly desirable)
- Previous experience of Adastra (desirable)
