Slinfold Club, Rookwood Golf Course (West Sussex) and Whalebone Golf Club (Essex) are well-established golf clubs in the south east. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and skilled Golf Course Mechanic to maintain our three fleets of greenkeeping machinery. We need an experienced individual who is passionate about their craft and will be responsible for machinery maintenance at these sites.
Full-Time Role (40 hours per week).
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday + some weekend work may be required
The majority of the hours will be based at the two Sussex sites but regular visits to Essex will also be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be professional and organised in dealing with machinery maintenance and ensuring a safe workshop environment at all times
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop
- Source and purchase stock within budget requirements
- Develop and implement a maintenance program for plant and equipment
- Assist in implementing a robust monitoring system of servicing and checks
- Passionately solve problems with a proactive and positive attitude
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
- Be able to operate cylinder-grinders and set up fine turf cutting units
Requirements:
- Previous experience maintaining and servicing machinery and equipment to approved standards
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Familiarity with operating cylinder-grinders and setting up fine turf cutting units
- Previous experience working on golf courses
